Summer Camp.

Hosted on the scenic 500-acre Besant Hill School campus in the Ojai Valley, this summer camp program—currently run by the nonprofit Amplify Sleep Away Camp—offers a creative, inclusive retreat for youth. Originally founded as Girls Rock Santa Barbara, the camp focuses on music education, creative arts, and positive mentorship for girls, trans, and gender-expansive youth. The setting is a major part of the experience, featuring air-conditioned dorms, a swimming pool, and an eight-acre organic farm. With a history tied to artistic expression and environmental activism, the secure, gated campus provides a structured yet liberating environment where campers can explore their passions against a stunning mountain backdrop just a short drive from the California coast.
