Universal CityWalk is less of a traditional shopping mall and more of a high-energy, open-air entertainment district acting as the gateway to Universal Studios Hollywood. Free to enter without a theme park ticket, this three-block promenade packs in more than 30 eateries and dozens of retail stores. The shopping leans heavily into pop culture and studio branding, anchored by the massive Universal Studio Store and the colorful Super Nintendo World Store. For entertainment, the complex features an 18-screen multiplex cinema with a seven-story IMAX screen, a central dancing fountain designed by the creators of the Bellagio fountains, and a diverse dining lineup that includes the famous Voodoo Doughnut and the steampunk-themed Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. It functions as a lively, standalone destination for dining, movies, and people-watching.
