Spadena House.
The Spadena House, affectionately known as the "Witch's House," is a whimsical architectural gem in Beverly Hills, California, celebrated for its enchanting Storybook design. Built in 1921 by art director Harry Oliver, this character-filled dwelling features an iconic sloping roof, lopsided windows, and a mesmerizing stucco exterior. Originally part of a silent film studio, it was relocated in the 1920s and has stood as a private residence ever since. Restored in the late 1990s by Michael Libow, the house maintains its fairy-tale charm with meticulously handcrafted details and picturesque landscaping. A favorite among tourists, it draws visitors year-round, particularly at Halloween, when thousands come to experience its whimsical spirit and folklore.
