U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
Known as the anchor of "Rocket City," this sprawling complex serves as the official visitor center for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. The undisputed centerpiece is the massive Saturn V moon rocket, suspended overhead within the Davidson Center, allowing visitors to walk the entire length of the vessel that powered the Apollo program. Outside, the skyline is dominated by the Space Shuttle Pathfinder and a dense forest of historic boosters in Rocket Park. Beyond the 1,500 artifacts—including the Apollo 16 capsule—the experience leans heavily into immersion. Guests can test their stomach for spaceflight on the G-Force Accelerator or catch 3D documentaries in the 67-foot planetarium. It is a rare site where the hardware of the past sits alongside the simulators used to train the next generation of astronauts at the onsite Space Camp.
