Suvla Bay.

Suvla Bay offers a coastal experience shaped as much by history as by the Aegean Sea. Located on the western side of the Gallipoli Peninsula, this sweeping, largely undeveloped bay is famous as the site of major British landings during the 1915 Gallipoli Campaign. Today, the approach to the shore is lined with wartime cemeteries, battlefield ruins, and the Tuz Gölü salt lake, while sunken wrecks from the conflict still rest in the shallow waters. The beach itself features a mix of sand and stones, leading into clear, turquoise waters that are excellent for a quiet swim, though visitors should mind the strong currents. It is a stripped-back, reflective destination that trades typical resort amenities for natural beauty and deep historical resonance, making it a staple stop on regional heritage tours.
