Banana Beach.
Located on Koh Hey (Coral Island) just a 15-minute speedboat ride from Chalong Pier, Banana Beach offers a preserved, pocket-sized alternative to Phuket’s busier resort strips. Tucked against dense tropical jungle and rugged rock formations, this protected national park cove is defined by its curved shoreline, powdery white sand, and exceptionally clear, shallow water. While it is a popular day-trip destination with organized transfers, it avoids the high-energy chaos of mainland beaches. The main draw here is the immediate underwater access; excellent snorkeling reefs sit just off the sand, culminating in the "Blue Wall"—a steep drop-off about 45 meters out where snorkelers can spot parrotfish, yellow-tailed snappers, and the occasional reef shark.
