Bang Hua Rat.
Tucked inside the dense rainforest of Khao Sok National Park, Bang Hua Rat is less of a manicured tourist stop and more of an active jungle reward. Reached via a scenic three-kilometer trek from the park’s visitor center along the Ton Kloi Waterfall Trail, this spot is defined by a broad, curtain-like cascade that spills over a rocky ledge into a clear, shallow pool. It is a popular resting point for hikers, offering a place to wade, swim, or simply cool off away from the park's busier lake resorts. The journey here is half the draw, taking you through thick tropical foliage where you might spot macaques or hornbills. Expect a rustic, sometimes muddy path that keeps the experience feeling wild, natural, and blessedly free of heavy crowds.
