Jungfrau.
Towering 13,642 feet over the Bernese Alps, the Jungfrau is iconic not just for its jagged profile, but for how remarkably accessible its high-Alpine world is. Most visitors experience the peak via the historic Jungfrau Railway, a century-old cogwheel train that climbs through the mountain to the Jungfraujoch. Known as the "Top of Europe," this saddle between Jungfrau and Mönch sits at 11,332 feet and hosts Europe’s highest railway station. At the summit, the experience is less about strenuous climbing and more about high-altitude novelty, featuring a carved Ice Palace, the Sphinx Observatory platform overlooking the massive Aletsch Glacier, and year-round snow sports. It is a rare, engineered gateway to the glaciers, easily reached via Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald.
