Auditorio de Tenerife.
Rising like a massive concrete wave on the edge of the Atlantic, the Auditorio de Tenerife is the defining landmark of the Santa Cruz waterfront. Designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and opened in 2003, this late-modernist masterpiece is famous for its soaring, 58-meter-high curved roof that defies gravity. Beyond its striking, highly photographed exterior, the venue is a bustling cultural hub. It serves as the home of the prestigious Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife and hosts a diverse year-round program of opera, jazz, and symphonic concerts across its state-of-the-art halls. Even if you aren't catching a performance, the surrounding public plaza offers a fantastic vantage point to appreciate the architecture alongside views of the marina.
