César Manrique House Museum.

Known as the "House of the Palms," this was César Manrique’s final residence, built in 1986 from the ruins of a traditional farmhouse. Located in the verdant valley of Haría, the estate is a masterclass in how the artist-architect integrated modernist aesthetics with Lanzarote’s rustic vernacular. While his more famous volcanic home in Tahíche is subterranean and dramatic, this property is intimate and lived-in, filled with personal belongings, handcrafted artifacts, and lush indoor greenery. The highlight is his separate studio, left precisely as it was on the day of his death in 1992. Unfinished canvases sit on easels alongside scattered sketches and dried oil paints, offering a silent, unvarnished look into the creative process of the man who defined the island’s visual identity.
