Museo Vostell Malpartida.
Housed in an 18th-century wool-washing factory, Museo Vostell Malpartida is defined by the friction between industrial history, avant-garde art, and a wild geological landscape. Established by German Fluxus pioneer Wolf Vostell, the museum spills out from the former textile mill into the Los Barruecos Natural Monument, where massive granite boulders and lakes serve as a backdrop for high-concept installations. Vostell’s signature "concrete" aesthetic is on full display, notably in works like "VOAEX," where a car is entombed in a monolithic block of cement amidst the rocks. Inside, the galleries hold a significant collection of Fluxus and conceptual art, focusing on video art and "dé-coll/age." It is a rare site where storks nest atop avant-garde sculptures, blending mid-century provocation with the raw tranquility of the Extremaduran countryside.
