Originally the Seoul residence of Yi Geun—grandson of Emperor Gojong—the timber-frame structure was meticulously dismantled and rebuilt in the quiet landscape of Yeoncheon to preserve its royal integrity. The estate functions as an open-air museum of traditional Hanok architecture, featuring original roof tiles, pillars, and rafters that date back to the late Joseon era.
