Statue of Lady Soyanggang.
Standing tall on the banks of the Soyang River, this massive 12-meter bronze monument pays tribute to the protagonist of "Soyanggang Cheonyeo" (Soyang River Maiden), one of South Korea’s most beloved and nostalgic trot songs. The statue depicts the maiden clutching her wind-swept skirt in one hand and a reed in the other, set atop a heavy stone pedestal inscribed with the famous song's lyrics. While it looks modest from afar, the sculpture's true scale—featuring a seven-meter body on a five-meter base—becomes impressive up close. Positioned right next to the glass-bottomed Soyanggang Skywalk, it offers a quick, free, and highly photogenic cultural stop where visitors can connect a piece of classic Korean pop culture with the scenic riverside landscape that inspired it.
