Maraya.
Rising from the sands of the Ashar Valley, Maraya is a structural mirage that holds the record as the world’s largest mirrored building. Designed by Italian firm Giò Forma, the massive steel-framed cube is clad in 9,740 square meters of reflective glass, causing the structure to seemingly vanish into the surrounding red sandstone cliffs and desert floor. While its exterior is a magnet for photographers, the interior functions as Al-Ula’s premier cultural hub, hosting a state-of-the-art 500-seat auditorium, exhibition spaces, and a rooftop restaurant. The venue's signature feature is a giant, 800-square-meter retractable window behind the main stage, which opens during performances to frame the dramatic, real-life desert canyon as a living backdrop.
