Fairytale Town.
Tucked inside William Land Park, Fairytale Town is a nostalgic, literacy-focused children’s park that has swapped high-tech rides for analog imagination since 1959. Designed specifically for families with young kids, the shady, compact grounds feature over 25 oversized playsets based on classic nursery rhymes and fairy tales. Children can slide down the Old Woman’s shoe, explore King Arthur’s Castle, or wander the Crooked Mile. Littered throughout the park are storybook boxes unlocked by souvenir "Magic Keys" that trigger audio tales. A gentle flock of farm animals—including Peter Rabbit and the Three Little Pigs—two performing arts stages, and lush gardens round out the experience, making it a low-key, whimsical alternative to commercialized theme parks.
