Sevastjanov House.
Sevastyanov House is Yekaterinburg’s most theatrical landmark, instantly recognizable by its vibrant palace-like facade. Dating back to the early 19th century, the estate was transformed in 1866 by mining industrialist Nikolai Sevastyanov into a whimsical, fantasy-like residence. The architecture is a rare, eclectic collision of Neo-Gothic, Baroque, and Moorish styles, painted in striking tones of white, green, and terracotta. Situated on the bank of the Iset River, its most photogenic feature is a prominent corner rotunda topped with a belvedere. Today, the building serves as an official residence of the Russian President, meaning the lavish interior is rarely open to the public. Still, the elaborate exterior remains a must-see symbol of Ural industrial-era ambition.
