Located on the banks of the Bug River, this is not a traditional gallery but the preserved home of architects Zofia and Oskar Hansen. The house serves as a living laboratory for "Open Form," a theory that views architecture as a flexible framework shaped by its inhabitants rather than a static monument. Built starting in 1968, the structure seamlessly merges interior spaces with the surrounding orchard, free from the rigid constraints of typical socialist-era construction. Visitors find an intimate environment filled with didactic tools, a vine-draped steel structure from the Venice Biennale, and a wooden dovecote. Now under the care of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the site offers a rare, documentary-style look at a modernist experiment where philosophy and domestic life collide.
