Guisi Light House.

Perched on a hilltop in Guimaras, the Guisi Lighthouse—historically known as Faro de Punta Luzaran—is the second-oldest lighthouse in the Philippines. Built in 1894 during the Spanish colonial era, the site eschews polished restoration in favor of atmospheric decay. Visitors follow a short, scenic uphill trail from Guisi Beach to reach the ruins, where the rusted iron skeleton of the original tower and the crumbling stone walls of the outpost are slowly being reclaimed by wild vegetation. Directly beside this historic ruin stands a modern, functional white lighthouse, creating a striking visual contrast. The summit rewards travelers with panoramic views of the Guimaras Strait and the golden-yellow sands below, offering a raw, evocative encounter with the island's maritime past.
