Set in a restored 18th-century brick structure that once served as a home for indigent widows, Anna & Bel brings a residential, feminine-inflected energy to the heart of Fishtown. The hotel’s name nods to its history and its cross-street location at Susquehanna and Belgrade, while the design preserves original wood beams, exposed brick, and decorative fireplaces. Its 50 rooms are individually composed, ranging from studios to multi-bedroom suites featuring custom woodwork and bespoke tiling. The central courtyard and heated plunge pool evoke the feel of the French Quarter, providing a quiet interior escape. On-site, the restaurant Bastia focuses on coastal Mediterranean fare, specifically the flavors of Sardinia and Corsica, while a dedicated wellness area includes a fitness center and an infrared sauna.
