First Guest: Tinajani.
Set high in the Altiplano at 3,895 meters above sea level, this remote six-camp tented retreat offers a dramatic stopover between Cusco and Lake Titicaca. Located within a private conservation area in the Tinajani Canyon, the property is surrounded by towering red-rock spires and ancient stone-forest formations. The experience is exceptionally intimate, limited to just 12 guests. Each campamento features two safari-style canvas tents—one for sleeping and one for lounging—alongside a wood-burning stove, an en suite bathroom, and a private deck with a hot tub designed for stargazing. Communal spaces, including a dining room and fire pits, occupy a restored 19th-century farmhouse and adobe annex. Here, guests gather for ancestral Andean dishes like wood-fired lamb and trout before exploring the canyon's wind-carved trails.
