Located in the coastal enclave of Shatti Al Qurum, the spa at Mandarin Oriental, Muscat integrates Eastern wellness philosophies with indigenous Omani healing traditions. Opened in 2024, the design prioritizes natural light and connection to the Gulf of Oman, featuring sea-facing terraces and a meditation garden. The architectural centerpiece is a Moroccan-inspired hammam detailed with white marble and intricate mosaics, while several of the eight treatment rooms offer private balconies overlooking the water. Signature rituals lean heavily into local ingredients, such as the Mountain Restoration treatment utilizing Omani frankincense, rose, and pomegranate. Modern therapies include Biologique Recherche facials and sessions on a warm rose quartz crystal bed. With an expansive heat and water circuit and a dedicated couples’ suite, the space feels like a comprehensive wellness destination rather than a standard hotel amenity.
