Rocco Forte Charles Hotel.
Occupying the site of a former university library, the Charles Hotel leans into its academic heritage with a design theme centered on botany and books. It sits directly adjacent to the Old Botanical Garden, providing a quiet, leafy buffer just steps from the bustle of the Main Train Station and the museums of Königsplatz. Built from the ground up in 2007, the property avoids the cramped layouts of historic conversions, instead offering some of the largest standard rooms in Munich. These limestone-clad spaces are defined by floor-to-ceiling windows and a refined mix of silk, noble wood, and Munich-sourced art. Downstairs, the wellness area boasts the city’s largest heated indoor pool, while Sophia’s Restaurant serves a high-concept botanical menu that spills out onto a terrace during the summer months.
