Amanjena.
Amanjena is a masterclass in architectural restraint, designed by Ed Tuttle to mirror the rose-hued geometry of old Marrakech. Located just outside the city center within a historic olive grove, the resort is centered around a massive reflective basin that echoes the scale of the Menara Gardens. The property feels less like a hotel and more like a private walled village, where pink pisé walls and keyhole arches lead to 40 domed pavilions and two-story maisons. Interiors are defined by high ceilings, green Moroccan marble, and Berber carpets, with most units opening onto private courtyards or pools. Between the two clay tennis courts, the vaulted spa with twin hammams, and a dining room framed by 80 onyx pillars, the atmosphere remains exceptionally quiet and ordered. It is a highly structured, tranquil sanctuary that offers proximity to the medina without any of its frantic energy.
