Comptoir des Mines Galerie.
Housed in a striking 1932 Art Deco landmark that once served as a mining company’s headquarters, Comptoir des Mines Galerie is one of the most evocative spaces in Marrakech’s Guéliz district. Restored by Hicham Daoudi, the building retains its industrial-era soul, featuring a grand terrazzo staircase and original fixtures across three levels of former apartments. The gallery serves as a vital hub for contemporary African and Moroccan art, balancing solo exhibitions from established figures like Hassan Hajjaj with experimental works from emerging talents in their MAJAZ incubator. It feels less like a sterile white cube and more like a living museum where high-concept installations meet French Protectorate elegance. Entry is free, offering a quiet, unpretentious retreat into the city's modern creative vanguard.
