Ostrvo cvijeća.
Connected to the mainland by a narrow, easily drivable strip of land, Ostrvo cvijeća (the Island of Flowers) packs centuries of dramatic history onto a tiny peninsula near Tivat Airport. Also known as Miholjska Prevlaka, this quiet spot was home to the medieval Monastery of Holy Archangel Michael before its violent destruction by Venetians in the 15th century. Today, the active Holy Trinity Church stands alongside the ongoing reconstruction of the ancient monastery. True to its name, the island is lush with palms, olives, and Mediterranean flora planted during a 19th-century revival. Rather than a sterile museum, it functions as a lived-in pocket of the coast where visitors can easily transition from exploring ancient ruins to relaxing on the pebbly beaches and dining at local seafood spots.
