Gornja Lastva.

Perched 300 meters above sea level on the Vrmac slopes, Gornja Lastva is a remarkably preserved medieval village that offers a rare, unaltered look at the Bay of Kotor’s traditional rural architecture. Dating back to at least the 14th century, this quiet hillside settlement consists of around 20 stone houses complete with original grape trellises, walled gardens, and cisterns. Unlike other coastal spots, it remains an authentic relic rather than a staged tourist attraction, complete with an intact 19th-century olive mill once powered by hand. Visitors can wander the quiet stone paths, visit the Baroque St. Mary’s Church, and take in expansive views of Tivat Bay. Come in August to catch the Festivities of Lastva, which bring the old village square to life with local music and folk dances.
