On the eve of 1976, Arturo Belano and Ulises Lima, the pioneers behind the visceral realist poetry movement, depart Mexico City in a white Impala they've borrowed. Their mission is to find Cesárea Tinajero, a poet who has disappeared without a trace. Their journey leads to a dangerous confrontation in the Sonora desert, transforming their quest into a flight for survival. Two decades on, Belano and Lima remain fugitives, continually eluding capture.
