Willow House.
Willow House is a masterclass in desert minimalism, situated on nearly 300 acres just outside Big Bend National Park. Rather than competing with the rugged terrain, the twelve single-story casitas are constructed from raw concrete to mirror the surrounding Chisos Mountain Range. The architecture is intentionally understated, featuring flat roofs and shaded patios designed to frame the shifting light over Santa Elena Canyon. Inside, the aesthetic shifts to a refined collection of earthen hues, Peruvian textiles, and locally sourced ceramics. While the casitas offer complete seclusion, a sprawling communal main house serves as the property’s social anchor. Here, guests find a fully equipped gourmet kitchen and an outdoor fire pit, balancing the solitude of the high desert with a shared, low-key community atmosphere.
