Nosy Iranja.
Nosy Iranja is actually two distinct islands—Nosy Iranja Be and Nosy Iranja Kely—connected by a mile-long, powdery white sandbar that only reveals itself at low tide. This shifting land bridge is the area's signature sight, drawing day-trippers by boat from nearby Nosy Be. Beyond the dramatic geography, the island serves as a critical nesting site for both hawksbill and green sea turtles. The surrounding turquoise waters offer exceptional snorkeling directly off the beach and access to dozens of dive sites, including the shark-frequented underwater plateaus. On land, the vibe remains decidedly low-key. Visitors can hike up to a historic colonial lighthouse, wander through a quiet fishing village, or relax over beachside lunches of grilled seafood and coconut rice.
