Beihouse.
Set in a restored complex of three 19th-century Lebanese houses in Gemmayzeh, Beihouse is as much a cultural monument as a dining destination. Painstakingly rebuilt after the 2020 port explosion by Dagher Hanna & Partners and Linda Boronkay, the space blends original stone and timber with contemporary steel and glass. Rather than a single dining room, the venue unfolds across a series of connected spaces—including a cocktail bar, a lounge, and a leafy central courtyard anchored by a centuries-old olive tree. In the kitchen, Chef Tarek Alameddine drives a creative menu that honors tradition while experimenting with modern fermentation. It is a highly sensory, multi-layered venue that captures the resilient, cosmopolitan, and design-forward spirit of modern Beirut.
