Fufu Nara.
Designed by architect Kengo Kuma, Fufu Nara sits within the protected greenery of Nara Park, offering a rare sense of seclusion steps away from the city's ancient temples. The hotel’s aesthetic is a refined nod to Nara’s history, utilizing Yoshino cedar, local clay, and handcrafted hemp tapestries to create a space that feels both modern and deeply rooted in Japanese tradition. Each of the 30 suites is equipped with a private, open-air hot spring bath where guests can soak while overlooking the forest. Dining at Tekisui focuses on regional flavors, specifically Nara-style kaiseki and teppanyaki flavored with local herbs and spices. Between the Sisley spa and the quiet, lantern-lit garden paths, the atmosphere remains hushed and harmonious, reflecting the spiritual calm of its surroundings.
