Rose Hall Great House.

Perched on a hillside with sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea, this 1770s Georgian mansion is the most famous of Jamaica’s colonial plantation houses. While the architecture is a refined display of symmetry, grand staircases, and period antiques, the draw for most visitors is the dark folklore surrounding its former mistress, Annie Palmer. Known as the "White Witch of Rose Hall," she allegedly used the estate as a backdrop for the murder of three husbands and numerous lovers. Daytime tours focus on the meticulous restoration and historical context of the plantation era, while atmospheric night tours lean into the supernatural with candlelit walks through the cellar. The surrounding grounds, featuring tropical gardens and a nearby golf course named in Annie’s honor, offer a serene contrast to the house's macabre reputation.
