Cala Goloritze.

Cala Goloritzè is one of Sardinia’s most visually dramatic and fiercely protected coves. Formed by a landslide in 1962, this white-pebble beach on the Gulf of Orosei is defined by the Aguglia, a striking 143-meter limestone pinnacle that towers over the turquoise water and draws rock climbers from around the world. Underwater karst springs keep the sea exceptionally clear and refreshingly cool. To preserve its raw, undeveloped character, motorboats are banned within 200 meters of the shore, meaning visitors must either swim in from anchored vessels or complete a demanding 4.5-kilometer hike down from the Supramonte di Baunei. There are no beach clubs or facilities here—just a pristine, sun-drenched canyon where the focus is entirely on the dramatic geology and the quiet of the Mediterranean.
