Cala Dei Gabbiani.
Cala dei Gabbiani offers a more tranquil alternative to its famous neighbor, Cala Mariolu, sharing the same dramatic stretch of Sardinia’s Golfo di Orosei. Named after the seagulls that gather here at sunset, this 250-meter cove is defined by a shoreline of polished white pebbles and steep limestone cliffs. A small cave near the center of the beach provides a natural rock frame looking out onto the sea. Because the seabed drops off quickly into deep, clear water, the cove is ideal for snorkeling and swimming rather than wading. With no services or facilities on-site, the beach retains a wild, untouched character. Getting here requires a challenging hike reserved for experienced trekkers, though most visitors opt for the far easier approach by boat.
