Amalfi Coast Hiking.
Starting from the mountain village of Pianillo in the Agerola region, this high-altitude trail serves as the premier gateway to the legendary Sentiero degli Dei, or Path of the Gods. Setting off from Piazza Paolo Capasso allows hikers to tackle the classic route in its most rewarding direction, trending gently downhill toward Nocelle. Rather than a remote wilderness trek, this nearly five-mile path winds through a working Mediterranean landscape of ancient terraced vineyards, cliffside hamlets, and coastal scrub. The real draw is the uninterrupted, bird’s-eye perspective of the Amalfi Coast, offering dramatic overlooks of Praiano, Positano, and the distant island of Capri. It is a brilliant, stair-heavy alternative to the crowded resort towns below, ending with a steep descent right into Positano.
