Praia I Focu Beach.
Praia I Focu is a dramatic, secluded cove tucked beneath the towering white cliffs of Calabria's Capo Vaticano. Strikingly isolated, this beach cannot be reached by a standard walk-in path; instead, visitors arrive by water taxi, pedal boat, or kayak from nearby Grotticelle or Tono. The effort is rewarded with a chain of small, sheltered sandy inlets divided by rugged rock formations. The crystal-clear, calm water is a haven for snorkelers, offering rich marine life along the rocky seabed. There are no facilities here, preserving a wild, quiet atmosphere that contrasts with the region's more developed resort beaches. Be sure to bring reef shoes, as exploring the interconnected coves requires scrambling over wet stones and navigating a rugged, untouched shoreline.
