Museum of Tribal Art & Artefacts.
Known locally as the "Museum of Man," this anthropological hub offers an immersive look into the lives of Odisha’s 62 distinct tribal communities. Rather than presenting a sterile gallery of objects, the museum reconstructs indigenous life through a mix of indoor exhibits and outdoor installations. Five themed halls display a vast collection of over 2,000 artifacts, including elaborate personal adornments, musical instruments, Dhokra metalwork, and traditional hunting gear. Outside, the experience becomes tactile with life-sized replicas of traditional tribal dwellings, complete with shrines and household tools. Run by the state's tribal research institute, the complex also features a herbal garden and a dedicated gallery focused on vulnerable groups, making it an essential cultural detour.
