Chamba Lhakhang.

Chamba Lhakhang, built in the 15th century by King Tragspa-bum-ide, is one of the oldest temples in Leh, Ladakh, with deep historical and religious significance. The temple features unique architectural elements, including narrow passages between its original outer walls and newly constructed interiors, allowing visitors to witness both restored and hidden murals. Noteworthy are its medieval mural fragments, revived by a diverse team of restorers in 2005, which reflect the region's artistic heritage. Home to a large stucco of Chamba (Maitreya Buddha) and various deity sculptures, the temple is integral to community rituals and festivals. It serves as a serene space for spiritual reflection and cultural gatherings, symbolizing Buddhism’s enduring influence in the area.
