Museum Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, is a historical gem in Kochi, India. Originally built by the Portuguese in 1555 as a gift to Raja Veera Kerala Varma, it showcases a unique blend of Kerala's architectural style and European influences from the Dutch renovations that followed. The palace features a quadrangular design with a central courtyard, elegant wooden beams, and stunning tiled floors. Inside, visitors can admire exquisite wall murals depicting scenes from Hindu epics, alongside a diverse array of artifacts, such as royal portraits, ceremonial weapons, and traditional costumes.
