Sitting on the banks of its namesake river, Diphlu River Lodge serves as a low-impact gateway to Kaziranga National Park. The property consists of twelve stilted cottages modeled after indigenous Mishing tribal architecture, utilizing bamboo, wood, and thatch to blend into the Assamese landscape. The design is intentional: just a narrow stretch of water separates the grounds from the park, allowing for frequent sightings of wild buffalo and elephants from the private verandas. Guests spend their days on jeep safaris led by on-site naturalists or taking boat trips on the Brahmaputra to spot river dolphins.
