The Upper House.
Occupying the upper floors of Pacific Place, The Upper House is an exercise in restrained luxury designed by André Fu. Eschewing the traditional lobby for a discreet, paperless arrival, the hotel feels more like a private residence than a commercial hub. The 117 rooms are among the largest in Hong Kong, starting at 730 square feet, and feature a minimalist Japanese aesthetic with warm wood, limestone, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Victoria Harbour or Peak greenery. The signature bathrooms are particularly expansive, centered around deep soaking tubs with panoramic views. While there is no pool, the "upward journey" theme culminates at Salisterra, a Mediterranean-inspired heights-top restaurant, and a serene rooftop lawn. It is a calm, art-filled sanctuary that trades gold-leaf glitz for sophisticated silence.
