Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park.
The Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park, located off Grenada's west coast, is a remarkable fusion of art and marine conservation. Designed by artist Jason deCaires Taylor, the park features 75 life-sized sculptures that serve as artificial reefs, promoting coral growth and attracting diverse marine life. Situated just 5 meters underwater, it caters to both novice snorkelers and experienced divers, offering a unique immersive experience. The sculptures, which evolve as they're encrusted by marine organisms, reflect local culture and history, such as the powerful piece "Vicissitudes," symbolizing unity. Being part of a Marine Protected Area, the park champions biodiversity and sustainable tourism, transforming each visit into a memorable encounter with art and nature in a serene underwater environment.
