Lithies Taverna.
Set in the quiet hills of Vasilikos, Lithies Taverna operates as a true farm-to-table extension of the family’s agricultural estate. The kitchen is fueled by their own biologically grown vegetables, hand-pressed olive oil, and livestock raised on-site. While many Zakynthian eateries lean into the tourist rush, the pace here is slower; dishes like rabbit stew with garlic and chicken in red sauce are prepared fresh every afternoon using old-school methods. The stone-built architecture and garden terrace offer a serene, shaded backdrop for long dinners. Beyond the food, the family produces their own house wines from Shiraz and Cabernet grapes, alongside traditional spirits and Ladotiri cheese. It is a straightforward, rural dining experience that prioritizes local heritage over coastal flash.
