The Telegraph Hotel.
Housed in Tbilisi’s former central post and telegraph office, The Telegraph Hotel is a masterclass in adaptive reuse that honors its Soviet modernist and brutalist roots. Designed by Neri & Hu, the 239-room property maintains the grand civic presence of the original 20th-century landmark while introducing a sharp, contemporary interior language of dark and light contrasts. It functions more like a social ecosystem than a standard hotel, anchored by a rooftop bar, a basement jazz club, and a co-working café that draws a local crowd. The culinary program is equally ambitious, moving from traditional Georgian flavors prepared in a traditional torne oven to Thai street food. Situated on Rustaveli Avenue, it’s a design-forward hub where the city’s history and modern nightlife converge.
