Playa Sirena.
Located on the western tip of Cayo Largo del Sur, Playa Sirena is widely considered one of Cuba’s most spectacular stretches of sand. Because it faces west and is naturally sheltered from strong winds, the beach is famous for its exceptionally calm, glass-like turquoise waters and two kilometers of powdery white sand that remains cool to the touch. It is a highly functional tropical escape, lined with palm trees, shaded palapas, and a beachside restaurant and bar. Beyond sunbathing, visitors can see giant starfish in the shallows, book snorkeling and diving excursions, or visit the on-site dolphin enclosure. Its tranquil, shallow conditions make it ideal for swimming, offering a classic Caribbean postcard setting that is easily accessible via day trips from Havana or Varadero.
