Milinovo jezero.
Tucked quietly between the larger basins of Galovac and Gradinsko, Milinovo jezero (also referred to as Milino jezero) is one of the smaller, gentler links in Plitvice’s Upper Lakes chain. Sitting at an elevation of roughly 564 meters, this shallow, intimate body of water is a prime example of the park’s active tufa-building process, where calcium carbonate deposits naturally dam the flow to create tiered, interconnected basins. Rather than a dramatic, single-viewpoint spectacle, Milinovo offers a serene pause in the landscape, its clear waters shifting in shade depending on the angle of the sun and the minerals below. Wooden boardwalks guide you right along its edge, making it a peaceful, atmospheric segment of the longer Upper Lakes trail best accessed from Entrance 2.
