Cannúa Lodge.
Cannúa Lodge is a lesson in intentional, low-impact design set across 11 hectares of protected forest near Marinilla. Rather than imposing itself on the landscape, the retreat was built using permaculture principles, utilizing bamboo and compressed earth blocks formed from the site’s own soil. The 18 rooms and freestanding cabanas are modern and minimalist, featuring expansive windows that frame the rolling Valle de San Nicolás. The experience is rooted in its surroundings; the restaurant serves contemporary Colombian dishes primarily sourced from the property’s organic gardens, while the activity menu focuses on birding, hiking, and local coffee tastings. It is a sophisticated Andean escape that prioritizes ecological integrity and quiet privacy over conventional resort flash.
