The Dorian brings a sharp, literary edge to Calgary’s skyline, occupying the upper floors of a dual-branded tower in the heart of downtown. Inspired by Oscar Wilde’s *The Picture of Dorian Gray*, the interiors balance British whimsy with modern luxury, featuring saturated colors, brass accents, and subtle nods to the novel’s themes of beauty and art. While the lower floors house a sister Marriott property, the Autograph Collection side feels more like a private residence for the aesthetically inclined. The social heart of the building is The Wilde, a 27th-floor rooftop lounge with floor-to-ceiling glass walls offering some of the best views in the city. On the ground level, Prologue serves as a refined café by day before shifting into a moody cocktail bar by night. It is a bold, design-forward addition to a city that traditionally leans more toward western ruggedness than Victorian wit.
