Freedom Trail.

Boston’s Freedom Trail is a 2.5-mile walking route that serves as an open-air museum of the American Revolution. Marked by a distinct red brick line set directly into the city's sidewalks, the path winds through downtown Boston, the North End, and Charlestown to connect 16 historically significant sites. The journey begins at Boston Common, the nation's oldest public park, and leads past colonial burying grounds, historic meeting houses, and the Paul Revere House before ending at the USS Constitution and Bunker Hill Monument. It takes about two to three hours to walk the entire trail at a brisk pace, but dedicated history buffs should budget a full day to explore the interiors of the various museums and churches along the way.
