The Thirsty Cuda.
Docked in the shallow, turquoise waters off the southern tip of Elbow Cay, The Thirsty Cuda is a floating bar and kitchen anchored right where the sand of Tahiti Beach meets the sea. Recently repainted a bright tropical pink, this aquatic outpost is designed for those who prefer to arrive by boat, paddleboard, or a waist-deep wade. The vibe is predictably laid-back, catering to a mix of boaters and beachgoers who gather for frozen cocktails and local Kalik beers. While the kitchen focuses on classic island fare like fresh conch salad, fish tacos, and burgers, it is perhaps best known for its flavored shaved ice, a rare treat in the heat of the Abacos. It functions as a social hub for the beach, operating from midday until the sun dips, offering a unique, swim-up perspective of one of the island’s most iconic sandbars.
